The museum, located in the Andong Folk Village, contains
over 3,700 objects representing the Confucian culture of the Andong region. It has dozens of
exibits representing everyday scenes, traditional ceremonies, and festivals. Authentic clothing,
pottery, utensils, and funeral objects give the visitor and in-depth understanding of traditional
life in the area.
Hours: 09:00 ~ 18:00
Closed: Jan. 1, Lunar New Year, Harvest Moon Festival (Chuseok) holiday periods
Admission:
Adults: 1,000 won (Groups: 800 won)
Children, Youths, Soldiers: 300 won (Groups: 200 won)
* Group: 30 people or more
* Free: under 6, 65 and over (with Korean senior certificate)
Car: Follow the river road (south of the train and bus terminals) east until just before
Andong Dam. Take the small brindge across the river to the
museum/folk village parking lot. Parking is free. Bus: Bus #3 runs between Andong and here, taking
about 20 minutes each way.
